Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of motivation and safety of work simultaneously and partially on the performance of employees at the Regional Natural Disaster Management Agency of Lumajang Regency. The research type used is descriptive with causal associative approach. This research was conducted with 45 respondents. The sampling technique used is "simple random sampling". Hypothesis testing is done by multiple linear regression analysis for hypothesis through SPSS 16 for windows program. Based on the results of research obtained that partially motivation effect on employee performance, while safety does not affect the performance of employees. but simultaneously motivation and safety affect the employee performance. the magnitude of the effect of motivation and work safety on employee performance is addressed by the value of determination (R2) of 0.248. while the remaining 75.2% employee performance is influenced by other variables that are not examined in this study such as leadership style, work discipline and work environment.
